Miracle On 34th Street is the sort of film which is only any good at Christmas. Any other time I'd say, Santa doesn't exist and this is a ridiculous reason for a court case. I'd also say that the ending was too perfect and that the film was generally a bit cheesy and predictable.
But... being that I watched it on a Sunday afternoon near Christmas I actually quite liked it. Richard Attenborough makes a great Santa and Mara Wilson (recognisable to anyone who has seen Matilda) is brilliantly cute as Susan. Susan's mother does get a bit annoying at times but Dylan McDermott is convincing as a brilliant lawyer.
All in all a good film for a Sunday afternoon before Christmas, and not to be over analysed, or the plot may start to fall apart
